Brushed Stainless

Brushed Stainless steel is recommended where corrosion resistance is mandatory and minimal maintenance is desired. Environments where stainless would be very useful includes locations with proximity to saltwater, areas of constant exposure to precipitation such as rain and / or snow, and also where aesthetics dictate.

One finish available is "brushed #4". The look is similar to that found on the exterior of new, hi-tech refrigerators and other high end kitchen decor. The brushed #4 finish is just one of the many stainless steel finishes available and is currently the most popular. Also available are a "high polish" and a "bead blast" finish.

Checkerplate

Also known as diamond plate or tread plate, this tread offers raise markings approximately every inch for traction.

Recommended for exterior use, we also see these treads being used a lot more indoors where an industrial, urban, or loft "look and feel" is desired.

Aluminum or Stainless Steel is recommended for exterior applications where corrosion resistance and minimal maintenance is desired. We do recommend a finish coat on aluminum such as powder coating or anodizing to protect the metal from oxidization.
